1. Complete the Registration Form 2. If the student has a physical disability or Down Syndrome, we may require a Physicians Referral depending on which programs you are wishing to register for. 3. Drop-off, mail, email or fax the required forms. We will contact you to arrange a farm visit and orientation.

Autism Spectrum Certificate at Okanagan College | BEHAVIOR INTERVENTION
Arion Therapeutic Farm provides a behaviour intervention program for individuals with physical, social and mental challenges. Our program offers a unique blend of coaching, positive behavioural change theory with a focus on practical life skills. Examples of our intervention programs include social skills coaching, community integration, and life skills experience. Each intervention plan is individualized; accommodating the individual’s interests, needs and challenges. Interventions will incorporate farm animals, horses and the natural farm setting where many learning moments take place. Clients meet at our Clubhouse weekdays from 9am – 6pm
SOCIAL GROUPS
Building and improving social skills is can be very challenging for those living with Autism. Our groups are started with a gradual introduction from private one on one sessions where they meet others also with one on one support and participate in a shared activity such as petting the goats. As the relationship develops, the need for one on one support diminishes and small friendships begin. For those mildly challenged, integration into a mixed group (typical children & those with Special Needs) learning horse training or horsemanship has proven very successful at our farm. Prices depend on level of support required.
After-School Program
We have expanded our after school program for children with special needs. Now DAILY! Staffed by C.E.A's or similar professionals, you can rest assured your child's special needs will be fully supported at Arion. Utilizing the natural elements of the farm and relaxed, laid back atmosphere of the clubhouse...your child will have tons of fun!
