Therapeutic Riding

Therapeutic riding, also known as adaptive horse riding or equine assisted activities, is horseback riding designed to meet each student’s individual physical and emotional need.  Basic equestrian skills are taught and structured to gently challenge the students through exercises, games and movement.  The benefits are endless.  Students gain more than strength and flexibility, they develop friendships, improve confidence and self-esteem.
A typical lesson includes:
  • Meet and greet
  • Obtain equipment with assistance as needed
  • Help catch horse in paddock
  • Groom and tack-up
  • Riding component (for some this is a short walk for the therapeutic benefits or for others it's a true riding lesson)
  • Un-tack and return horse to  paddock
  • Return equipment
  • Enjoy your day!

Fees:
  • 1 hour private lesson:  $55
  • 1/2 hour lesson:  $35
  • Semi-private:  $45
